Is interest earned by wife on fixed deposit in her name to be included in husband's income?

The fixed deposit is gifted to her by the husband.

if the money deposited is actually the husbands. then yes tax will be incident on it, and it will be clubbed. If the income is that of wife and is invested by her then the interest will be treated as income in her hand and not clubbed with that of her husbands. the motto is to not to proliferate evasion.
